What we do
The USA SBX Foundation is a grassroots effort by American snowboarders dedicated to fostering the growth and success of U.S. SBX athletes. We invest in American SBX snowboarding to ensure it remains a source of inspiration for athletes across the country. Our mission is to power the opportunities that lead to World Cup and Olympic success for SBX athletes from the United States.
Since its Olympic debut in 2006, the United States SBX Team has consistently had Olympic finalists. However, since 2018 and the pandemic, there has been a significant drop in talent, partly due to the financial commitments required to progress from a NorAm athlete to an Olympic athlete. This has been exacerbated by a lack of development funding from U.S. Skiing & Snowboarding. Your help is needed to ensure a bright future for American SBX athletes, racing, and the community.
We operate as a transparent 501(c)3 organization with a national scope and focus. The USA SBX Foundation effectively eliminates financial barriers for American SBX athletes to compete, inspire, and pursue new avenues for the development of SBX racing in the United States.

What we Fund
While U.S. Team SBX budgets have remained flat, the ambitions of American SBX athletes have not. Their drive and hard work powered unprecedented success for years within U.S. Snowboarding. However, most athletes struggle to make ends meet, given the rigorous demands of being a full-time athlete. Now, we need help from the community they inspired to support the next generation of world-class SBX athletes.
We fund need-based, direct-to-athlete grants for U.S. SBX Athletes. This information helps athletes, parents, and coaches understand how USA SBX can support their dreams in snowboardcross. (SBX) All Funding/ Grants-Stipends will be based on meeting successive funding goals. Grants-Stipends will be awarded with consideration to Gender Equity.

U.S. NorAm SBX Athletes Recieve Resiliency Funding $2500 ea
4 Female Recipients – Brianna Schnorrbusch (US Team), Hanna Percy (US Team), Madeline LochteBono (US Dev Team), Sienna McKinley (ASC) 4 Male Recipients – Boden Gerry (US Dev Team), Connor Schlegel (ISTC), Aiden Rowell (ASC), Mason Hamel (ISTC)
Holeshot Tour Bonuses
The USA SBX Foundation, alongside the Holeshot SBX Tour, supports early-career professional snowboard cross (SBX) racers by providing them with crucial performance-based funding bonuses. The bonuses, offering $500 for First Place, $250 for second, and $125 for third, are available in six Holeshot Tour SBX races across three stops and aim to incentivize domestic-level snowboarders to advance toward World Cup-level competition. The program acts as a USSA Matching Grant, bridging athletes’ development in the sport.
Athlete Grants-Stipends
These are Yearly Stipends-Grants based on Overall SBX Results from the previous season.
The USA SBX Athlete Resiliency Grants-Stipends are offered through a competitive application process to support U.S. NorAm athletes ranked in the Top 12 OVERALL from the previous season, providing up to 8 grants in total, each with $2,500. We have given out eight Athlete Resiliency Grants-Stipends (20k) to US SBX Athletes for this season. Applications for the Athlete Resiliency Grant-Stipends will REOPEN in the Spring of 2026.
Training/Competition Season Funding. These grants are a key component of the USA SBX mission to make top-level SBX competitors, based on ability rather than background.

Education Grants
For education related to marketing & social media, public relations, and managing finances. These grants help athletes obtain education critical for their long-term success as professional athletes.
