HOLESHOT TOUR BONUS (USA Continental Cups)
USSA Holeshot Tour Prize Match Grant

- The USA SBX Foundation supports Continental Cup-level racing for early-career pros, supporting their final steps in development before competing on the World Cup level.
- The Holeshot SBX Tour provides athletes pursuing professional SBX racing experience and are eligible for performance-based funding bonuses:
- These bonuses incentivize promising domestic-level snowboarders to continue pursuing SBX and bridging their career development to the World Cup Level. This is a USSA Matching Grant for the Holeshot SBX Tour.
- Available for a total of 6 Holeshot Tour SBX Races (3 stops).
1st – $500 / 2nd – $250 / 3rd – $125
ATHLETE GRANTS-STIPENDS
Grants are awarded with consideration for Gender Equity and from the previous seasons results.

- USA SBX Athlete Resiliency Grants/ Stipends:
- Available via a competitive application process.
- Funding can be used for any costs related to their career, including but not limited to medical expenses, rehabilitation, and competition supplies. (Travel Expenses are not allowed). Travel expenses come under Longer-Term Funding Grants.
- USA SBX Athlete Resiliency Grants/ Stipends:
- Training/ Competition Season Funding:
- U.S. NorAm Athlete Grants: Up to $5000.00 each for up to 6 U.S. NorAm Athletes Ranked in Top 12 OVERALL.
- U.S. Team Athlete Grants: Up to $10,000.00 each for up to 3 U.S. Team Members Only
- Available via a competitive application process. These grants are a key component of the USA SBX mission to make top-level competitive SBX accessible based on ability rather than background.
- Two levels:
USA SBX EDUCATION GRANTS

- For education related to marketing & social media, public relations, and managing finances. These grants help athletes obtain education critical for their long-term success as professional athletes.
- Two deadlines for applications.
- Grant Caps:
- $1500.00 for U.S. NorAm Athletes ranked in Top 8 Overall.
- $3000.00 for U.S. SBX Team Athletes
$31,000 Given to athletes through Stipends and Prize Money in 2025/2026!
Funding Criteria
Grants-Stipends may cover camps, competition/event-related costs, travel, medical, rehabilitation, education, and other athlete-related needs as outlined in our Athlete Grants. ALL FUNDING/ GRANTS WILL BE BASED ON FUNDS RAISED & MEETING SUCCESSIVE FUNDING GOALS.
Application Process:
- Grant Applications can be submitted throughout the year and will be reviewed in accordance with the posted filing deadlines. We encourage applicants to apply as soon as they identify their need for funding. While it’s not a guarantee, occasionally, we are able to consider requests outside of the application review periods posted.
- Funding evaluation includes assessment of:
- financial need
- unique athletic potential
- requested use of funds
- availability of alternative funding sources
- Benefits are limited to uniquely talented applicants who are current residents of the United States.
- Benefits shall not duplicate or displace benefits available from other sources, except to supplement otherwise available funding where it can be shown that such funding does not or only partly meets a demonstrated need.
- Recipients shall only use grant funds for the expenses specified in the Grant Award Letter.
- Applicants must submit the following financial and athletic background information:
- Copy of the applicant’s or applicant family’s most recent tax return
- Breakdown of income sources and non-discretionary expenses
- Statement from a coach or governing/sanctioning organization describing the applicant’s prior competitive experience and attesting to the applicant’s eligibility for and/or ability to compete
Submitted applications shall be considered only if complete and containing sufficient information to make evaluations consistent with USA SBX Foundation grant funding criteria.
Financial Hardship Standard:
Applicants must submit a breakdown of their income sources and nondiscretionary expenses as part of their USA SBX Foundation Grant application.
USA SBX Foundation benefits shall only be provided to applicants demonstrating a qualified need resulting from deficient income to meet non-discretionary expenses plus the identified funding required for competition-related and other expenses as outlined in our Athlete Grants that cannot be satisfied through other sources.
Evaluation:
Grant applications will be reviewed and prioritized for funding consistent with USA SBX Foundation funding criteria. Grants will be awarded with consideration for Gender Equity.
Final evaluations and approvals will be made with the additional considerations of:
- USA SBX Foundation availability of funds in a calendar year
- Consideration for Gender Equity
- Specific earmarked funding requirements

Our funding criteria is designed to support athletes who demonstrate exceptional potential and financial need. We aim to provide grants that cover a wide range of expenses, ensuring athletes can focus on their training and competitions.
What expenses can Grants-Stipends cover?
Grants can cover costs related to camps, competitions, travel, medical needs, rehabilitation, education, and other athlete-related expenses as specified in our “What we Fund” Athlete guidelines.
Who is eligible to apply for grants-stipends?
Talented snowboardcross (SBX) athletes who are current residents of the United States competing in NorAm or higher level events. Applicants must meet grant-stipend “What we Fund” criteria, as well as demonstrate financial need and athletic potential.
What documentation is required for application?
Applicants must submit their most recent tax return, a breakdown of income sources and expenses, and a statement from a coach or governing body attesting to their competitive experience and eligibility.
How are grant applications evaluated?
Applications are evaluated based on financial need, athletic potential, the intended use of funds, and the availability of alternative funding sources. Gender equity and the availability of funds are also considered.
What are the funding stipulations?
Recipients must adhere to stipulations such as providing promotional content for USA SBX Foundation, participating in any programs we may become involved in, and assisting in fundraising efforts. Grant-stipend funds must be used as specified in the Grant-Stipend Award Letter.
Funding Stipulations
The USA SBX Foundation may withhold funding if the following athlete requirements are not met:
- Provide USA SBX photos and posts as directed.
- Engage in any program during the off-season highlighting their snowboarding efforts that we may become involved in. All Programs are reviewed annually for appropriate funding.
- Wear USA SBX logos on team hats in competition, on the podium, at the venue, or in team pictures (unless they have a personal headgear sponsor or are a member of the U.S. SBX National Team).
- Post on Social Media stories about how the USA SBX Foundation has helped them (details TBD by the USA SBX B.O.D.).
- Assist in future fundraising efforts.
- Produce receipts or invoices for expenses directly related to the grant received.
Step 1: Prepare Your Application
Gather all necessary documents, including your most recent tax return, income and expense breakdown, and a statement from your coach or governing body.
Step 2: Submit Your Application
Complete the online application form and submit it along with the required documentation. Ensure all information is accurate and complete to avoid delays.
Step 3: Application Review
Your application will be reviewed by our team in accordance with our funding criteria. You will be notified of the decision and any next steps required.
